Ayurveda This Sunday, New Class on Monday!
“You can’t know it, but you can be it, at ease in your own life. Just realize where you come from: this is the essence of wisdom.”
-Tao Te Ching, Stephen Mitchell translation
In keeping with our January theme of detoxification and self-care, I wanted to let you know about another compelling workshop that will be taking place this Sunday from 11:15am-1:15pm. Join Bethany Cantin, a long-time yoga teacher and Certified Ayurvedic Practitioner, for An Introduction to Ayurveda for Vibrancy, Longevity, and Optimal Health. This information-rich workshop will help you to better understand your particular constitution so that you can implement daily routines and dietary strategies that will create sustainable balance for you to feel at ease in your life. For instance, you will learn which yoga asanas are best suited for you and why. You will also learn how to adapt your eating habits to the changes of season so that you are able to fortify your immune system and avoid being knocked down by the cold or flu. Sign up now online.
In other exciting news, I am happy to announce that Emilia Aguinaga will now be offering a feel-good class on Monday afternoons from 3:30-4:30pm. Yum, Yoga! was designed specifically for people who work in the service industry or who spend extended periods of time on their feet. Emilia will combine the best of Yamuna Body Rolling (R) with surefire yoga techniques to create a practice that is both restorative and re-calibrating to your whole system.
Hope to see you in class soon! Stay warm out there!
