Begin at the Beginning This Wednesday
“Man’s life is a continuous process, and the improvement is needed in the quality of the process, not in his properties or disposition. Many factors influence this process, and they must be combined to make it fluid and self-adjusting. The more clearly the fundamentals of the process are understood, the greater will be the achievements.”
We wake up yet again to another story of horrific violence, and we are left feeling shocked and speechless. To talk about the value of yoga and other mindfulness practices at this moment seems trite and irrelevant. Yet it also feels like we are at a point where the destructive forces in our society are awakening the generative forces of peace and understanding. The insanity that we are witnessing is multiplying the need for, and interest in, sanity.
If you’ve been touting the benefits of yoga to family and friends of how it enhances the quality of your life, then you’ll want to forward this email along letting them know that Keith Werhan is leading another one of his fabulous Begin at the Beginningseries this Wednesday at 7:30pm. This 4-week series introduces beginning students to the fundamentals of yoga in a safe and supportive environment. It’s also a perfect refresher for those who have been out of the routine of practicing yoga regularly. Keith’s approach to teaching is compassionate, patient, encouraging, sincere, and lighthearted. So if you’re in need of a strong dose of hope and humanity, then reserve your spot now. Space is limited so as to ensure plenty of individualized attention.
