Greetings Everyone!

Tias Little is one of my favorite yoga teachers in the whole world, and so I am very excited that one of his longtime students, Valerie Viosca (who also happens to be our in-house acupuncturist) will be offering an introductory sampling of his latest work this week. Join us this Friday, October 14 from 7:00-8:30pm for Intro to SATYA (Sensory Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement). This system of movement combines the neural-muscular re-education techniques of Moshe Feldenkrais and Thomas Hanna with conventional yoga postures. The exercises are non-weight bearing and involve gentle movements that reduce myo-fascial holding in the body. The intention is to cultivate inner listening in order to re-gain awareness in places where there has been holding or freezing, so that the body’s innate healing intelligence can flow.¬†Just like last weekend’s The Tao of Yoga, this workshop is entirely appropriate for all levels of yoga practitioners who wish to broaden and deepen their practice.
